Signs of Spiritual Awakening and the Ascension Process
Most often a spiritual awakening will happen gradually and subtly, not in an instant. Very often, a spiritual awakening will be triggered by a significantly powerful event that will be the catapult of change. It will lead a person to open up to new ideas, thoughts, and ways. Often one will seek answers in different places than before. This is the beginning of the destruction of the ego, as a lead driver, and your heart and soul beginning to take the lead in your life.
The ego is like a mask we wear to protect ourselves, but it often hinders our growth and keeps us from experiencing true fulfillment. It is a major process of deconditioning and unlearning all that you have learnt until this point, as well as breaking down taught concepts of right and wrong and all that leads to judgement. You will begin to see that the person you have been, was mostly just running on a program. Since early childhood, you have been told what to believe (religion/values/ethics), how to behave, often what career path to pursue, how life should look like (house/kids/stable job), and given many labels that create a sense of thE ‘I’ and attachment to an identity that creates division and differentiation from others. Much of the script fo your life was alredy written, until this point. We are given a template on how to live life, but in awakening, we can see how in many ways, this is not reality, and how limited and fear driven much of it it, so we bgin the path of breaking free of these fear-based decisions, and limited mindsets. You may be called a dreamer, or told you have your head in the clouds, but in fact, it is a compliment, and it takes immense courage to pursue the less walked path.
Here are some key things that can happen when a spiritual awakening occurs:
Questioning everything - confusion - feeling lost - in nowhere land.
Feeling very alone, lost, confused, despair at times, as well as bouts of bliss.
No longer being ruled solely by the 5 senses, but seeing more through the intuitive eye.
A change in lifestyle begins, work, home, relationships all begin to crumble and alter.
What worked before, no longer works.
Surfacing of long supressed emotions you didn’t even know existed.
No tolerance or interest in superficiality or superficial engagements, or toxic people/energies.
Reconnecting with your intuition and your soul.
Seeing synchronicities everywhere.
Deep thirst to become free & journey of seeking more love begins
Shifting from victim mindset to creator mindset.
Experiencing intense emotions, outpourings, and heightened sensitivity to energies around you.
Vivid, intense dreams and awareness of karma and past lives.
Healing the inner child and other energetic blocks or unhealed wounds in the body.
Awareness that you are more than just a physical body, but a soul and spirit residing in the body.
Heightened awareness and sensitivity to energies of people, earthly and cosmic.
Physical detox can occur as the body changes its internal structure, with a mirage pf physical symptoms.
Outlook and understanding of the world and existence is beginning to change.
No longer living through thoughts - the mind - illusion.
Seeing, feeling or hearing colours, shapes, other beings, angelic frequencies in closed eyed conscious states.
Sensing energies all around you much more (Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, Clairsentience, Claircognizance)
More creative pursuits like art, dance, healing activities that help alignment.
The early stages of a spiritual awakening are extremely difficult, and can be extremely isolating so take the time to connect with others that may share your experiences, if possible, through meetup groups or online. Likely you will feel very out of sorts as the mask that you have been wearing your whole life begins to crumble. You may feel vulnerable, surprised, scared, alone, and also fascinated by what is occurring. It is difficult to understand what is happening, and really defies logic and all that you will have known and been taught previously. Becuase it is so hard for the mind to grasp, this brings about immense discomfort and the ego tries to grasp on to familiarity and old ways though in reality they no longer fit, because this change, is big and scary. It is often this grasping that creates a more bumpy ride. It is literally and metaphorically, mind blowing. Those around you, old family and friends, who are still operating through societal conditioning, with the understanding that hu beings are only physical bodies in a material world, will not be able to understand what you are going through. This has to be experienced to be understood, and this can be very challenging to go alone without others understanding or seeing you. Often critique and judgement will come, as people tend to fear the unknown and unfamiliar. All that you once believed, and your deep sense of identity, attachments and desires will be shaken. You will begin to see these were simply a result of conditioning and what others told or influenced you to believe. You world is being blown apart and how much you see this, and how real you become depends upon your own level of commitment to uncover the layers and question your belief systems. You are starting to become the real you! You may later being to realise that you are not just one tiny small individual, and you are not separate from everyone else. You are the Universe! And all is a mirage and a reflection. Living in you own personal mind, and playing out dramas usually stems from the conditioning and karmic patterns we took on in this life. And when awareness of that is seen, the path to liberation begins to get more real. Constantly ask who is this person acting out, observe yourself, and question your beliefs, are they mine, or did I inherit them? Later, you become the observer of your own experience.
Being unconscious (not self aware, asleep) is actually somewhat like being a slave, without knowing it. There is the illusion of freedom but it’s a very limited existence. Alas, awakenign is immensely challenging, particularly if teh conditioning has been so strong, and tehre is trauma in the body, it can nearly break a person. It is often a sink or swim situation, and without support, that can be unbareable, so a supportive community is vital.
Everything changes and having a support group can help ease the often bumpy and confusing ride. Life as you know it is changing dramatically as the veils of illusion gradually collapse one by one. Self love and self care are vital, and being open to dropping old belief systems and ways of operating. Consciousness is gradually changing and clouds are clearing. It’s hard but worth it as gradually, you are becoming the real, true, soul aligned you.
